Escape to Charleston

I have the fortunate opportunity to serve as a co- director of my campus'  National Coalition Building Institute Affiliate. NCBI is a non profit leadership training organization that works to eliminate racism and all other forms of prejudice and discrimination throughout the world. There are trained NCBI teams in corporations, communities and on college campuses. Part of my responsibility is to lead other NCBI trainers to organize workshops on our campus and build relationships. I love my role and having this be a part of my job.
So last week I got to attend a conference in Charleston, hosted by the Medical University of South Carolina, that brought together other NCBI campus directors for three days of sharing ideas and further training. I had never been to Charleston, so I was excited to see a new city. I was also excited to meet some new people! My co- director and I got to present on some of the exciting ways we are marketing ourselves at the university and learn some new things to bring back to our campus.

Dinner at Fulton Five

Dinner at Hyman's Seafood. I sat in Hulk Hogan's seat.

My conference experience was amazing! I met some great people that work really hard to promote the message and spirit of NCBI. I am coming back to my campus with a renewed sense of prupose and excitement. I am so proud to be a part of this orgnaziation.
