Birchbox January

So I cancelled my Birchbox subscription. And January was my last box. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Birchbox. But I can think of a better way to spend $110. Anyway, I thought I would do a quick write up of my last box.

Yet another perfume sample. This one is not in a pump and it drives me crazy. I am less likely to use the ones that don't come in a pump. I loved the Embryolisse moisturizer and it is a decent price! The clarifying shampoo smells GREAT. I don't like that it is low suds. I love the Balm and this Hot Mama blush is really pretty. I would not use it as a highlighter, it is too pink, and I haven't tried as a shadow. Kinda of a weird shadow color. Finally the Deborah Lippmann nail polish remover smells good and was a great break from my Equate brand nail polish remover pads, but I don't think I would buy the Lippmann version.

October Birchbox

My October Birchbox, was ok. I was really excited about the beautyblender and the Chantecaille lip gloss. The gloss is a nude color and not TOO sticky, which I like. The beautyblender is a GREAT tool. I have wanted to purchase these and now that I have tired one I am definitely purchasing!

The Anti- Aging Oil was nice, I use argan oil now so it was a nice product to try, full size is just too expensive and I will stick with my argan oil. Same with the DDF moisturizer. Nice product, full size too expensive.

I know some people don't like when Birchbox sends snack bars, I LOVE THEM! I throw them in a drawer in my office and have an emergency snack stash! This Luna bar looks yummy!

September Birchbox

Yeah, yeah yeah I know it is October. But I loved my Birchbox last month so I thought I would share.

 The Vasanti face scrub is great! I love it and I want the full size. The Color Club nail polish is a great color and I put it on right when I got my box. I also love the Bvlgari scent, perfect for fall. The hair tie is fun, totally useful and the Brush guards are clever. Great for travel. The only thing I didn't really like was the Wei To Go Beauty "Sleepover Kit" the CC cream was too light and I didn't like the texture. And I feel like the cleaner didn't really cleanse. I am more of a soapy lather kinda face cleaner. All in all I loved the box!

March Birchbox

AHHH! I love my March Birchbox. I got the Teen Vogue box, and I love the samples this month!

Kate Spade Twirl- I love perfume samples! I get bored with my regular selection so it is nice to change it up every once and awhile.

tarte Lip Stain in Lucky- love how it feels and how well it stays on. I also like the mint scent. This is a great product I would consider buying now! You know how much I love lip products :) oh, and it is a FULL size 'sample.'

essie nail polish top coat- LOVE THIS! I love essie polish and this will be a great addition to the collection! Again, also a full size 'sample.'

Kerastase Elixir- I love hair products! So excited to try it. I would say my hair is normal to dry, so we will see what this does.

twistband- I have crazy thick hair, not sure this will work for me.

February Birchbox

When I was in high school my girlfriends and I would go on Target trips. We would go buy a bunch of random beauty products (masks, nail polish, lipstick, etc.) and then have sleepovers and try all our new stuff out. Yes, I know I wasn't the most rebellious teenager and I definitely wasn't popular, BUT we always had fun on Target trips and trying new stuff out. It spawned my love for trying new products and when I heard of Birchbox I was excited! I love samples! I like trying new stuff, but who wants to waste money on things you might not like?!

So I got my first box and thought it would be cool too link up and share!

I love the Jouer lip gloss, not super sticky and a hint of color. The Juicy perfume is something I had tried before. The travel puff seems useful for later. I don't think I will be using the double sided "fashion" tape. I try to buy clothes that fit and wouldn't require tape, but you never know. What I am most intrigued by is the Eye Rock stick on eye liner. I am perplexed by how they work. More to come on that later.
I was kind of bummed after I saw some other bloggers February Birchboxes, they got different stuff than I did (stuff I would have liked/ used more). I'm not sure what my expectations were, but I'm a little underwhelmed. We will see about next month.
