Weekend Wrap Up

One word for this weekend: relaxing. Friday night we had a good bye party for Kyle's old boss and then stayed downtown with some new folks from work and took them to some of our favorite places. I love showing off this town!
I am really really going to have to reconsider the black out curtain in the bedroom. I slept in until 11:30am Saturday. Not ok. It is throwing me off for the whole weekend. Saturday afternoon (after a 1:30pm breakfast) we went and saw Savages.

Ehhh, it was ok. I really liked Salma Hayek, but there was something missing from Blake Lively's performance, which made me sad because I really like her. And my boy Taylor Kitsch had like zero lines, at least he was nice to look at. And I choked on popcorn in the middle of the movie and everyone got mad at me for coughing. So embarrassing.
Sunday, again I slept too late. I worked most of Sunday afternoon. We started training last week, which meant I had a lot of email and other things that needed to get done. I totally didn't mind working, it gave me a head start on the week. We went to The Grill for dinner and I had a DELICIOUS chocolate malt. We ended our Sunday with True Blood. It is getting good this season. Part of me is loving this summer break from Sunday night sorority executive meetings. Not going to lie, it has been nice to get in bed at 10pm instead of midnight like during the school year, but that's the price you pay as an advisor :)
Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Recovery

So the 4th of July really threw me off, not only because it was the middle of the week, but I was the only one in the office so that was no fun. For the 4th of July, Kyle invited friends of his from high school that are in GA for a little while. We went to their wedding in PA last December and it was good to see them again. They brought their dogs, who were ADORABLE, and really got Kyle serious about getting a dog (YAY!). So you might be wondering, where are the super fun pictures from your 4th celebration.... answer: here is the only pic:

Kyle and I took our guests out on the 3rd. And this is all I have to show for it. If it is any indication, we had a great night. Wednesday we (recovered) grilled out and I made mac and cheese, yeah no pictures from that. We skipped fireworks to stay at home and continue the party. However I was in bed at 11pm because I had to go to work. LAME. I was the only one there on the 5th. Super lame. It was great having guests visit and we hope to get to see them before they leave GA.
Kyle and I spent the weekend on call and recovering from our 4th of July and on call. Random, we bought a black out curtain for the bedroom, it works great! I almost slept until 11am on Sunday. CRAZY, can't let that happen again! And I tried the Red Velvet Cake ice cream from Ben and Jerry's, IN LOVE. Tastes just like cake!

We also watched 21 Jump Street, pretty funny.

I am actually excited for Monday. My boss is back and everyone else is back and we are in a routine again, thank the lord! Hope everyone is having as great as a Monday as I am!!!

Weekend Wrap Up!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!! Our weekend was pretty chill. Friday night Kyle and I went to the movies and saw Chronicle. Basic synopsis, high school boys go into a creepy cave, find a weird alien object, emerge from cave with super powers, one turns power hungry and evil and must be stopped. It was really short, but I liked the "first person" filming and special effect. Pretty cool. But it isn't a must see in theaters.

We were in bed by 10pm, because we had to be up at 6:00am Saturday to get ready for undergraduate Resident Assistant/ CLASS Advocate interviews. We were in the student learning center all day, where there were over 200 students interviewing for positions. I love interview day and meeting new people. Saturday's photo challenge was "a stranger." I was a little concerned about looking like a stalker. Thank goodness for ZOOM. I snapped this picture of some students studying in the learning center. Yep, studying on a Saturday!

After interview day we were exhausted. So we stayed in and watched Moneyball and 50/50. Very chill and relaxed evening.

Sunday's Photo Challenge was: 10am. I had to be at the sorority house at 11:00 because we had our semester visit from the Province President. So I stopped by Starbucks of course!

After the meeting at the house I stopped by nursing home to visit my friend. It is gorgeous in Athens (70 degrees and SUNNY!) so my friend and I sat outside in the sun and caught up on life. I came home to get ready to go out to celebrate the Super Bowl. I found Rolo cookies on Pinterest.

Cake mix- .99 Rolos- 2 for $1.30, great deal!

DELICIOUS! I snapped some pictures of Kyle busy making his Buffalo Chicken dip and stew! Can't wait to eat!!!! Hope everyone enjoys tonight's festivities!
